If you're cruising through the world with a Trionic, expect "ooohs" and "ahhhs" to follow you! The ruggedly handsome Trionic makes most rollators look wimpy. Its muscular profile tells you it's ready for anything - and so it is! The Trionic provides a totally new walking experience. Thanks to a patented climbing wheel, 3-wheel design and air-filled tires, the Trionic climbs curbs and other obstacles with ease and turns cobbles, gravel, grass, snow and off-road trails into pure pleasure.
The Trionic has an ergonomic grip bar, which allows for several grip positions. The bar also provides back support when you're seated. Then, when you are ready to move on, just slide the seat forward, so you can stand more naturally erect and have more walking space.
Of course, the Trionic adjusts to suit users of different heights. It folds together to make transport easy (the wheels even detach, if desired). And a hub brake with both motion and parking functions increases safety while minimizing tire wear.
Consider some of the special features that make the Trionic so awesome.
TRIONIC CLIMBING WHEEL™
Curbs, thresholds and other obstacles represent a real hazard for traditional rollators. Typically, the rollator has to be lifted over such obstructions. This means the rollator is no longer supporting, but rather itself being supported!
The Trionic Walker, however, can handle curbs up to 5" high. When going over a low curb (1" or so), its patented Climbing Wheel requires only 1/8th the force that a single wheel of equal diameter takes. Here's how it works...
By spreading the load over two wheels, slightly displaced lengthwise, the Trionic's climbing sequence is divided into two steps. Climbing capacity is further enhanced through an angled link arm that uses the pushing force provided by the user.
The Trionic climbing wheel™ offers a second advantage over traditional wheels. It provides suspension over uneven surfaces, such as a gravel road or cobbled street - places where a traditional walking aid would fairly shake you to death. On uneven ground, the link arm of the climbing wheel constantly pivots, thus suspending and smoothing the ride.
The wheel can be dually adjusted according to the environment and terrain. For easy turning and maneuvering, use city-mode, where the front wheel is lifted, while retaining climbing capacity. In terrain-mode the wheel provides shock absorption, climbing capacity and increased direction stability, perfect for a hike or workout.
THREE-WHEEL DESIGN
The Trionic Walker’s 3-wheel design results in constant ground contact, even on uneven surfaces. The “shopping cart-syndrome,” with rising and spinning wheels, is thus effectively avoided. This makes the Trionic much more sure-footed over cobblestone, gravel, grass, snow and other challenging surfaces.
The design also encourages you to stand more erect and move more naturally, because the seat slides forward out of the way, creating more walking space.
OTHER TRIONIC FEATURES
In addition to its dually-adjustable climbing wheel and ground-hugging 3-wheel design, the Trionic offers:
Air filled, removable 12" all-terrain tires with quick-release wheels Detachable seat cover made from a durable, water-resistant, washable fabric Removable basket with a zippered compartment for valuables, perfect for a wallet, keys or a small handbag Oversized frame of welded T-6 aluminum for reduced weight with greater rigidity Motion and parking brake The Trionic is also customizable. Seat and basket storage are offered as accessories in a range of colors and textile patterns, which can be easily changed and updated according to your individual preferences.
