Toolkits
for coping
Feeling
overwhelmed? This goes with the caregiving
territory. There is so much to do, absorb, and cope with. And
such responsibility. Survivors feel similar pressure trying to come
to grips with frightening new realities and limitations.
Family
and friends may wish to help, but they are probably clueless. What
you really need is a mentor - someone who has been through
this, who knows the ropes and who understands.
Can
a web-site mentor? If mentoring means sharing insights from
experience, offering guidance, support, encouragement...then you
bet! That's what B Independent is all about, and particularly what
this Kit section is all about.
We
want to get you started right in coping with brain injury. With
tools that work. Not everything you will need, of course, but the
essentials. Stuff geared to brain injury. Stuff that helped
us. The "I needed this but didn't even know it" kind of
stuff.
Together with tips, stories, resource guides, important knowledge
stuff.
