What's Different about the Nitro?
The Nitro represents a departure from traditional rollator design. It still has wheels, bicycle-style brakes, height-adjustable handles, and a lightweight aluminum frame. But these come together in a very innovative way.
Take the wheels, for instance. The Nitro sports 10” front wheels, rather than the 6" to 8" size usually found on rollators. These larger wheels make for smoother traveling over bumps and uneven terrain outdoors and the odd small obstacle indoors.
Comfort is designed in. The backrest is flexible and height-adjustable, for greater ease (it is also removable). The height-adjustable handles on the Nitro are ergonomically designed for a more natural grasp with less wrist strain.
With such attention to user comfort, the Nitro naturally comes equipped with a large carry bag for conveniently toting belongings and supplies. The pouch is up front, rather than under the seat, so you can get at items easily. And, being a pouch, it preserves privacy, keeping valuables hidden from curious eyes. From purse to personal necessities, what you take along is your business, and your business alone.
Like most rollators, the Nitro uses bicycle-style brakes. However, unlike most rollators, the Nitro brake cable runs inside the frame so it won’t snag on things. This spares a lot of frustration. It is also a valuable safety feature!
Finally, the Nitro folds side-to-side, rather than front-to-back. The handy cross-brace design adds stability. It also accommodates one-handed folding via the handle on the mesh seat. And, once folded, it is extra-compact for convenient storage.
